Walk with Me, Part 3 – Soho

Soho is one of my favorite places in NY. And it’s not because of the fancy stores (I don’t have the desire to buy a Chanel bag, I want someone to give me that bag for free.) It’s about the people. There is no other neighborhood where people look better. I call Soho a land of beautiful people. They’re also fashionably dressed and in good shape. Well, you have to be, if you want to be noticed while you’re strolling there. I walk there a lot.

I usually get off at the Spring Street subway station (C, E train) and walk Spring Street up to West Broadway. Then I start walking around these streets – West Broadway, Spring, Prince, Broome, Wooster, Mercer.

I look at the stores, and sometimes I will go inside, but I mostly enjoy looking at people. So many gorgeous guys. Sometimes you can’t even believe that there can be so many good looking people in one place. I really want to live there one day. Maybe in two years?

Here are some of my favorite places:

Sunrise Mart – Japanese market with matcha treats (cookies and matcha powder), 494 Broome Street

Mariebelle, exclusive hot chocolate spot, 484 Broome street

Ground Support Cafe where you can sit down and read your newspaper or a book, drink coffee or matcha and eat your sandwich, 399 West Broadway.

La Colombe coffee shop is placed on the opposite corner, you can grab coffee to go.

Dominique Ansel Bakery where you can buy popular cronuts – 189 Spring Street

Laduree – French bakery with delicious macaroons, 398 West Broadway

Paul Nicklen Gallery that I’ve already wrote about, 347 West Broadway

Georgetown Cupcake Soho, 111 Mercer Street

Ground Support Café

Georgertown Cupcake
