A Spring Walk In West Village

Since Spring has just come to town (not quite, though, as it was really chilly today), I started visiting my favorite neighborhoods. West Village is definitely one of them. All you need to do is to take one of the orange subway lines (F, M,  D, B), or the blue lines (A, C, E) and get off at West 4 Street. I always start there, right next to the IFC movie theatre – and finish there, as well. I usually stroll West 3, turn into McDougal street, then Bleecker, Sullivan, Thompson street and back.

This time, I started with stepping into a cozy Oatmeal place (the price range was $4 and up, which might be considered a bit expensive, especially since they serve their oatmeal in plastic bowls). Then, I went to the Market NYC on Bleecker street where local artists and designers sell their stuff (I really recommend one particular booth with genuine vintage jewelry; they have amazing pieces) and finished in a store with movie posters (bought two new ones).  I usually end up in a coffee shop, doing writing and people watching. And this is what I consider an excellent afternoon.
