Coney Island

You take subway and you’re on a beach very soon. NY offers a few beach spots, but the most visited by me so far was Coney Island in Brooklyn. There’s something special about this place, a “vintage flavor”. Coney Island is known for its amazing boardwalk that leads to Brighton Beach and the amusment park (renovated after hurricane Sandy). Take one of the orange subway lines (especially D) and check it out. I wonder if it brings you the same emotions that brought me. The best day to visit this place is Monday, because you’ll be also able to watch a movie on a beach. I’ve already mentioned Coney Island on Just Like NY when I was writing about Brooklyn Half.
